The double room is furnished with a built-in cupboard, a set of three drawers, 2 shelves and a lamp. New (6 months) double futon bed functions as a double bed by night or comfy sofa by day, complete with side table perfect for relaxing or studying at a laptop. The room is newly furnished, painted and has brand new double-glazed windows.
As a lodger you have access to the bathroom with a bath/power-shower, a good-sized kitchen with plenty of storage where you will have space in the fridge and cupboards for food, and there is a washing machine. There is part/shared access to the dinning/living room which has a wood-burning stove. There is also a south-facing private garden in the back, and nearby on-street parking, and a small balcony.
Situated in the pretty Oxfordshire village of Cholsey, the first-floor maisonette is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with no traffic in the centre of the village and has its own entrance and garden. There is a train station 12 minutes walk away with easy access to Reading (20 minutes), Oxford (25 minutes) and London (70 minutes). There are also buses to both and to the nearby town of Wallingford.
The village has a few local shops just 2 minutes walk away including a small late-opening Tesco with cashpoint and post-office, a hairdressers, butcher/greengrocers, cafe and pharmacy. There is lots to do in the friendly village which has a pub (a 2 minute walk from the maisonette), an Indian and Chinese restaurants/take-away (both a 2 minute walk), a gym, tennis courts and lots of clubs and societies.
I am looking ideally for a clean, tidy considerate female to move in next month. The maisonette is regularly visited by a cat, so you must not be allergic to cats/get along with them. No pets, no overnight male guests, no smokers.
